AXEL completed Phase 1 trials for VR therapy of patients with dementia and of patients with cerebral palsy

The AXEL research group has finished data collection among 30 healthy adults and 30 healthy children who volunteered to test the novel virtual reality (VR) interventions. The group of healthy adults tested a VR application developed to address the behavioral and psychological symptoms that persons living with dementia may experience, while the group of healthy children interacted with a VR application for pediatric patients with cerebral palsy. Data collection for these groups was completed by July 26, 2022 and July 22, 2022, respectively.
